Back in 2005, I worked as a PA to the MD of a company that took a stand at an exhibition in Cologne, Germany and I was tasked with organising the stand, product display and attending the show. I have caught the exhibition bug straight away which led me to leaving the job soon after and in search of a new career.
In the last 15 years, I have worked with a variety of companies from start-ups to multinationals and installed stands for spaces from 3x2m to 10×10 in size. It has become evident that many companies do exhibitions badly and feel they didn’t get their return on the investment. I felt it was such a shame as some companies were missing a great opportunity and decided not to exhibit anymore.
I genuinely get the most satisfaction from the clients that turn around and say they’ve had a successful show because they prepared for it properly. With that in mind, we have designed a half-day workshop “How to exhibit successfully” that we run for the companies that feel they need a little bit of help in their preparations for the exhibition to ensure they get the most out of it.
Following several changes in the last few years, we have let Black Iris slip but we are now regrouped, and on a mission to revive this wilting flower that has been patiently waiting in the wings.
Educating exhibitors is at the heart of our manifesto. If you had a bad experience exhibiting in the past, or are looking to attend your very first exhibition and not sure where to start, do give us a call on 01978 807118.
